On September 9, 2022, participants in the 10th National Defence Course for 2022–2023 toured the Fujairah Naval Base and the Abu Dhabi National Oil and Petroleum Reservoirs (ADNOC), where they received a briefing on the strategic significance of the most crucial facilities. The NDC delegation was headed by H.E. Brig. Gen., Marine Pilot / Mohammed Hamad Al Kaabi, Commander of the NDC Education Wing, accompanied by a number of faculty members and staff.
The journey began with a lecture on the significance of the key Fujairah estuary for the country's oil export from the north, which was followed by a field trip to the oil reservoirs at the Fujairah Naval Base.
In addition to observing the state's upcoming projects in this area, they also learnt about the significant role the Navy played in defending crucial national interests in the eastern part of the nation's maritime theater and the significance of creating strategic oil reservoirs for its stockpile.
