The National Defence College organized for 12th NDC 2024-2025 participants within its academic curriculum, The annual visit to the National Library and Archive on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024.
The morning visit began with a lecture entitled "Zayed.. The Founder of the Country of Civilization and Humanity" was delivered by Research Consultant Dr. Aisha Belkhair, after which the participants moved on an introductory tour to Sheikh Zayed Hall.
To complement the visit, the participants watched a screening of a short documentary about the UAE at Sheikh Mohammed Hall.
The visiting delegation of the National Defence College then met with His Excellency the Director General of the National Library and Archives.
By the end of the visit, the National Defence College delegation exchanged souvenirs with the National Library and Archives, and documented it with a group photo at the main entrance.
It is worth noting that the visit comes within the framework of enhancing national awareness and knowledge among the course participants and informing them of the vital role played by the National Library and Archives in preserving the history and heritage of the country, and introducing the efforts made in documenting national events, preserving national identity and documenting the march of the UAE.
