His Excellency Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with the participants of the 6th NDC Course 2018-2019 on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the College's headquarters.
The meeting, which was attended by the NDC Commandant, NDC Deputy Commandant, and a number of officers, aimed to clarify the strategic role of the armed forces in protecting national interests, and to communicate, engage in a dialogue, and answer all questions of the participants about the military institution.
His Excellency stressed the importance of dialogue and discussion for the benefit of all parties in order to enrich the thought and unify the concepts, in accordance with the strategic and operational levels. He added that any kind of study should be based on discussion, debate, constructive engagement, positive interaction, and development of dialogue skills.
The Chief of Staff stressed the need to understand and adhere to the code of ethics, values and principles that are a fundamental pillar in military and civilian life alike. He further recommended all attendees to keep reading as it is an essential source of information at all times and places.
