His Excellency Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with the participants of the 7th NDC Course 2019-2020 on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the College's headquarters.
The annual meeting of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces aimed at welcoming the new participants of the NDC Course, in addition to clarifying the goals and intentions of these courses held annually at the National Defence College, which is one of the main sources of security and strategic thinking, not only for the armed forces, but for all national bodies and institutions.
His Excellency pointed out that the wise leadership always pays attention to the preparation and qualification of national leaders, whether military or civilian, to understand the foundations and requirements of managing the country’s resources and ensuring their maximum utilization in order to protect national interests and gains. The National Defence College is thus the competent body to prepare and qualify the future leaders and to upgrade their capabilities in identifying and assessing national, regional, or international security challenges in a manner consistent with contemporary changes and rapid developments.
The meeting was attended by Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Al-Saadi, NDC Commandant, NDC Deputy Commandant, NDC officers and wing commanders.
At the end of his speech, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces urged all attendees to exert great efforts in all areas that would keep the UAE prosperous and successful, and also stressed that everyone should work seriously and sincerely and be reliable and efficient in order to promote the joint national action to the greatest extent possible.
