Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Al Saadi, NDC Commandant inaugurates the 7th NDC Course

Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Al Saadi, Commandant of the National Defence College inaugurated the 7th NDC Course on Monday morning, September 2, 2019. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the NDC Deputy Commandant, Wing Commanders, faculty members, a number of NDC staff, and the course participants.

In his inauguration speech, the Commandant congratulated the attendants on the Hijri New Year and for launching the 7th NDC Course. He also welcomed the new participants and extended the greetings of the members of the NDC Higher Council and the leadership of both the NDC and the UAE Armed Forces wishing them an excellent academic year. 

The Commandant highlighted that joining this course is an excellent opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills that could contribute to linking national values to contemporary challenges, which could preserve the strategic interests of the state, as well as help understand the variables, objectives, and means leading to achieve national goals.

He also pointed out that the NDC Course will enable participants to identify the elements and pillars of national security and the strategic tools to achieve national interests, in addition to its role in developing the abilities of participants to research, analyze, evaluate, and establish a dialogue to overcome obstacles and dilemmas. He added that this course would also contribute to the intellectual transition from the enterprise level to the comprehensive strategic level for all government institutions nationally, regionally or globally. 

The course, he remarked, will highlight the importance of integration among government institutions, especially those that are part of the decision-making system in the state.

He stressed the need to strive to maximize the benefits of the course and what is offered through its curriculum and academic program, which was designed in accordance with the best international academic standards and practices, in addition to the excellence and exclusivity of this course compared with other study programs, specialties or other courses.

At the end of his welcoming speech to participants, he stressed the importance of highlighting the high values of the UAE people in all arenas which is an appreciation and an abidance by the legacy of UAE founder, leaders and the faithful people to the nation, while recalling the support and care bestowed upon by their wise leadership. He added that it is indeed such an excellent opportunity to be seized while being enrolled in the NDC Course. 

The inauguration ceremony was followed by a group photo for the NDC Commandant, the NDC Deputy Commandant, NDC officers, faculty members, and the course participants 2019-2020.

It should be noted that since its founding pursuant to the Federal Decree No. 1 for the Year 2012, NDC has been being a major contributor to the preparation and qualification of military and civilian leaders in the country throughout its six courses.
