The National Defence College organized a field visit on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, for participants of the 12th National Defence Course 2024-2025 to the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, as part of their academic program.

The delegation was headed by Staff Brigadier General Khalifa Butti Al Shamsi and accompanied by a number of officers and participants of the National Defence Course. It aimed to familiarize the participants with the role of think tanks and research institutions in decision-making and influencing public opinion by providing possible solutions. Additionally, it focused on identifying priorities and offering essential recommendations to address challenges or threats.

The reception of the National Defence College delegation began with a welcoming speech from the center, followed by a lecture on the role of think tanks and research institutions in assessing and analyzing various issues.

Subsequently, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts, marking the beginning of an introductory tour around the center. They explored the role played by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research as a beacon of scientific research, highlighting its prestigious standing among global think tanks. The center is regarded as a wealth of knowledge, providing analyses and studies on a diverse range of local, regional, and international issues.
