National Defense College hosts Her Excellency the Minister of Education

The National Defense College hosted Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Cabinet Member and Minister of Education, to deliver a lecture to the students of the 12th National Defense Course 2024-2025. The lecture was entitled “The Pivotal Role of the Education Sector in Preparing Generations Armed with Knowledge, Values, and Key Skills” and took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

The lecture delivered by Her Excellency, the Minister of Education, aims to introduce students to the pivotal role of the education sector in the country. It emphasizes the importance of education in shaping and preparing future generations. Education aims to develop the intellectual and educational capabilities of future generations, improve the quality of education, and ensure that its outcomes are suitable for the needs of society and the market in the country.

Her Excellency highlighted the Ministry of Education's efforts in developing the educational environment, promoting moral values, and nurturing intellectual skills among future generations. This includes preparing students to adapt to technological changes, integrating technology into the educational process, fostering innovation and scientific research, and enhancing practical, professional, and technical skills. The goal is to equip students for the future job market and to enable them to contribute to the development of their society and country with a strong foundation in science, knowledge, and ethical educational values, as well as the essential skills for their academic and practical journey towards building the nation.

At the end of the lecture, Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri thanked the leadership of the National Defense College for their warm hospitality. The Commander of the National Defense College then presented a shield to Her Excellency, thanking her for her presence and the valuable lecture she graciously delivered.
