NDC Hosts His Excellency Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy

The National Defence College welcomed His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy, to deliver a lecture titled "Economic Foundations and Policies in the United Arab Emirates" on Monday, January 13th, 2025, where His Excellency was received by Staff Brigadier General Saeed Hasan Al-Yamahi, Commandant of the National Defence College, Deputy Commander and College wing commanders.

During his meeting with the participants of the 12th National Defence course for the academic year 2024-2025, His Excellency thanked the National Defence College for hosting and sharing with the participants the most important policies and pillars concerned with the Ministry of Economy and highlighting them.

His Excellency began his lecture by talking about the national efforts made by the Ministry to strengthen the economic foundations and policies in the UAE, where he spoke with an overview of the history of the economy in the country since its beginnings and the growth of its stages over the years.

His Excellency also highlighted the most important investment sectors in the new industries that are being focused on in the UAE economy, such as e-commerce, agriculture, healthcare, defence and other vital sectors.

Bin Touq referred to the UAE's strategic directions set by Vision 2031 towards strengthening the economy, ensuring security and sovereignty, and openness to international cooperation and innovation in the fields of science and technology as key national priorities.
