His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Council of the National Defence College on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, in the presence of their Excellencies the members of the Supreme Council of the National Defence College, at the college's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The Council opened its session with a speech in which he welcomed its members, appreciating their efforts to improve the work of the council and activate its role through the proposals that push the institutional work of the National Defence College forward towards success and excellence.
In its meeting, the Supreme Council discussed the most prominent topics on its agenda related to the 10th national defence session (2022-2023) and the 11th session of the next academic year (2023-2024).
During its meeting, the Council also discussed the proposal for regional and international visits to be organized by the College for students of the 11th session (2023-2024).
The meeting also discussed the proposed policy to exclude some candidates of civil bodies for the job grade requirement, in addition to discussing the possibility of brotherly and friendly countries participating in the national defence course, to other priority and important topics on the council's agenda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the most important recommendations were made by the members of the council to advance the role of the council and sustain its efforts in organizing and activating all proposals and recommendations that would push the work of the College forward to continue its mission in preparing and qualifying military and civilian leaders in the field of strategic thought.
