In emphasizing the role played by the UAE in developing its readiness to handle all incidents, emergencies and crises, the participants of the NDC 6th Course 2018-2019 attended a conference organized by the National Crises and Emergency Management Authority entitled "Future Foresight of Emergencies and Crises: Capabilities and Challenges”, which took place on Monday, March 11, 2019 at St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi.
The conference aims to inform the participants of the NDC 6th Course 2018-2019 on topics related to emergency and crisis management, especially with regard to the future of emergencies using artificial intelligence, risk reduction and recovery, and the need to prepare for major incidents. This type of conference is at the core of the academic program of NDC during which participants receive education on the security and national dimensions of crisis management in accordance with the higher strategies of the state.
The attendees were headed by Brigadier General Tarek Khalfan Al Zaabi, Deputy Commandant of the National Defence College. The team included a number of NDC faculty members and participants of the 6th Course 2018-2019. It should be noted that this conference is the most important specialized conference in the region, which highlights the vital role of the UAE being one of the leading countries in this field."
