As part of the curriculum of its academic session, the National Defence College organized a visit for the participants of the 11th National Defence Course 2023-2024 to the National Library on Thursday, October 5th, 2023.
The morning visit began with a lecture on the strategic thought of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, and the characteristics of the country compared to other countries, followed by a documentary film about the United Arab Emirates.
To complement the stations of the visit, the participants of the 11th National Defence Course 2023-2024 had an introductory tour of the corridors and halls of the archives and the National Library.
At the end of the tour, souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides and the visit was documented with a group photo of the visiting delegation from the National Defence College.
It is worth noting that the aim of the visit organized by the National Defence College to the National Library and Archives is to inform participants of the 11th National Defence Course 2023-2024 to understand the most important factors that contributed to the establishment of the Union and to discuss the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - may God rest his soul - about the functions of the state, its most important features, characteristics, internal and external relations with the surrounding countries of the world and its comparison with other countries, in addition to the most prominent challenges and threats that faced the stage Establishment of the Union.
