H.E. Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Salem Al-Saadi, NDC Commandant, inaugurated on Monday, October 29, 2018 a seminar organized by the NDC under the title "National Security Strategy". The seminar was attended by the commanders of the Nasser Military Academy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Nimeiry Higher Military Academy of Sudan, National Defence College of the Republic of Greece, and the National Defence College of the Republic of India.
In his opening speech, the NDC Commandant welcomed the participants from the friendly countries and thanked them for mutual enrichment and advancement of knowledge related to national security and strategies.
He also highlighted the role of national defence colleges in developing and implementing these strategies. The seminar was attended by the UAE Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence officers, NDC faculty members and staff, military attachés, NDC Course 2018-2019 participants, and a number of NDC alumni. The seminar is part of the National Defence College's keenness to compare and evaluate the approaches of countries that have different power and influence instruments, and to develop strategies in response to specific challenges, threats and opportunities.
It should be noted that the seminar was organized in two sessions. At its first meeting, the Indian and Greek commandants discussed the national security strategies of their countries, while the Egyptian and Sudanese commandants discussed their strategies in the second meeting. At the end of the seminar, the participating delegations exchanged memorial gifts and took a group photo.
