H.E. Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, received the seventh NDC course 2019-2020 participants, who made a field visit to the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. The visit aimed to brief the delegation on the country’s defence policy and other aspects related to cooperation agreements and security and defence treaties, and to explore the concept of strategic capacity development and the role of military industries in supporting national interests.
The visit, which is part of the defence components course, aimed also at exploring the Ministry of Defence policies and the most important challenges it faces in implementation, as well as the future regulation of these policies.
The delegation was headed by Staff Brigadier General Khaled Al-Qattan, accompanied by a number of faculty members and officers of the college.
During the visit, which included several activities, the delegation received a welcome speech from the Ministry officials, followed by a number of important lectures concerning the activities of the Ministry of Defence.
It should be noted that the National Defence College has always sought to associate its field and orientation visits with the NDC course’s curriculum in order to link the concepts with observation and application.
