The National Defence College organized its open sports day for participants of the 11th national defence course 2023-2024, its faculty members and college staff, where it organized the activities of the "National Defence College Marathon" on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 on Hudayriyat Island in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and Modon Real Estate Company.
The marathon activities began early in the morning on Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi city between the teams competing for sports activities that varied between (walking, running and cycling).
The participants, including the members of the 11th national defence course, the faculty members and the college's staff, were distributed to all the activities included in the sports program in an enthusiastic spirit of fun and joy that contains such an atmosphere.
At the end of the races, the three winners of the first places were honored, where on behalf of the Commandant of the National Defence College, Brigadier General / Ali Ahmed Al-Tunaiji, Commandant of the Support Wing, distributed prizes to the winners, and exchanged souvenirs with the organizers, to conclude the open day activities with a group photo of all the collective teams participating in the sporting event.
It is worth noting that the Sports Day, which is organized annually by the National Defence College, aims to add a spirit of fun, entertainment and competition to its members, as holding such events contributes to strengthening ties and communication relations between commandants, officers and other ranks and participants of the National Defence Course.
