H.E. Lt. General Staff Hamad Muhammad Thani Al-Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met on Sunday 12/13/2020 the participants of the 8th NDC Course 2020-2021 at the NDC campus as part of His Excellency’s annual meetings.
His Excellency’s annual meeting with the participants aims to welcome them to the National Defence College and to inform them about the academic and strategic significance that distinguish NDC from any other college as well as explore the its mission and goals.
NDC accepts only a select group of candidates according to a predefined and evaluated set of standards to provide qualified educational outcomes of its quality academic program being a source of strategic and security thought for both the armed forces and the relevant government entities.
In his discussion with the participants of the 8th NDC Course 2020-2021, H.E. stated that the wise leadership pays attention and keenness to prepare and qualify military and civilian national leaders to understand the foundations and requirements of managing the state resources and employ them properly to protect national interests. This is why NDC is considered as the entity that qualifies and develops such future leaders to hone their skills in identifying national, regional, or international security challenges and evaluating them in line with the current changes and rapid developments.
The meeting was attended by Major General Staff Pilot Rashad Mohammed Alsaadi, the National Defence College Commandant, his deputy, NDC faculty, wing commanders, and a number of the college officers. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces urged all attendees to do their best to advance this country in all areas. H.E. also urged them to be up to the wise leadership's trust and confidence in them to promote the national efforts to the highest standards, taking into account their duties and responsibilities that require all to work hard and sincerely without compromising the national action.
